output not saved

I have been running a number of long running transient cases.I ensure that I output the results often enough. However, I have noticed that if I kill the job, before it's complete, none of the output times are saved. Any idea why that is?

Thanks. I used to have the stop button, but I no longer see it. Perhaps I need to look in the preferences.
