Problems meshing an example

I am following the Eddy Currents in 3D example in AC/DC module. In particular, I am interested in the reduced form (using a specified magnetic vector potential) to solve the problem. The external magnetic vector potential is used as an expression, generated by a current carrying wire.
I am getting a meshing problem when I try to mesh the infinite domain shell. I try to sweep mesh parameters manually with 3 elements, and get an invalid topology error message.
I am attaching the model to this post, so maybe someone can take a look and tell me where I am going wrong ?
Thanks.
PS : The dimensions are a little different, but I have followed the same steps.
PPS : I did not use cutting planes to section off the shell as I did not understand why that was necessary.
