We are looking for a skilled software developer to join our team dedicated to creating advanced algorithms for solving complex geometric and mathematical problems. The majority of our development work is done in C++, with some use of Java.

Role Overview
Based in our newly renovated office in central Stockholm, the team works on the core functionality of the COMSOL product suite. The role focuses on meshing functionality, which is integral to the software's ability to efficiently discretize geometries for simulation purposes. These geometries can come from CAD models or 3D scans, and the meshing process also includes cleaning up irrelevant details and defects to prepare the geometries for simulation.
Responsibilities include writing and reviewing code, contributing to project specifications and design, and testing new functionality.
Qualifications
We are looking for both junior and senior developers with the following qualifications:
- A PhD, MSc, or equivalent degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of C++ or Java.
Additional experience that would be highly valued:
- Working with algorithms for geometric problems.
- Experience with larger software projects.
Knowledge of physics or simulation is not a requirement, but interest in these areas will help to better understand our product and market.
